Hi, I’m Rachel Shelby, and being part of Hope Chiropractic is truly one of my favorite things.
As co-owner of Hope Chiropractic, I help lead the vision, growth, and patient experience of the practice. Though I’m not in the adjusting rooms or in front of patients day-to-day, you’ll often find me behind the scenes—helping to give hope, answers and help to Indy families that I wish I had growing up! Leading and growing the team at Hope feels like more than just a job—it feels like being part of a movement. I love what I do and who I get to do it with.
I grew up a small-town Ohio athlete with a big interest in nutrition and wellness. But even while staying active, I constantly battled fatigue, pain, frequent sickness, severe insomnia, and menstrual issues from a young age. I thought that was just part of being human—until I started college at the University of Cincinnati and met a future chiropractor. That chiropractor was Dr. Nick (now my husband), and being introduced to chiropractic truly changed every aspect of my life, and continues to as I'm pregnant with our second baby!
Outside of Hope, I teach and perform aerial dance (think silks and trapeze), and I love movement in all forms—especially strength training and yoga. I’m a lifelong learner, a passionate reader, and happiest when I’m with Nick, our son Elliott, and our giant schnauzer, Otto.

I was born here in Indianapolis and, funny enough, grew up just down the street from Hope. I lived in Colorado for 5 years, but moved back home to Indiana and that's when I found Hope (no pun intended). I've worked within a Care capacity in one way or another for the past decade and I absolutely adore getting to work with kids!
My uncle is a chiropractor and I've received chiropractic care on and off my whole life, but working at Hope has shown me that not all chiropractic care is the same! I'm passionate about healing the body as naturally as possible and the nervous system is where it starts! With neurologically-based chiropractic care, it's a completely different approach to heal the body and truly works wonders. I've not only experienced my own miracles under care here, but I've gotten to witness so many! My favorite parts of the job are celebrating your wins, high fives, and getting the first "Hi" or "Bye" from our non-verbal and speech regression kiddos.
If I'm not at work, you can catch me out hiking, traveling, taking a yoga class, or flying around in the air at aerial class! I'm also a bit of a foodie and love to chat about new restaurants and local spots. I always enjoy a good book recommendation or a nerdy health conversation!

Growing up in Jasper, Indiana, I always loved sports, especially baseball and football. I love the outdoors and in my free time I am either working out at the gym, exploring nature, or spending time with my family.
All my life, I've struggled with almost daily headaches, and we didn't know what was causing them or how to treat them other than traditional medicine. I've always been a little skeptical of the chiropractor, especially with the "cracks' and "pops" that are all over social media. Recently making the move to Indianapolis, I have learned about the benefits of neurologically-based chiropractic care through Dr. Nick and it is a whole different ball game! I've learned so much about the importance of the nervous system, and I am no longer struggling with migraines, and I am taking control of my health again!
Before getting the amazing opportunity to join the team, I actually started out as a practice member seeing Dr. Nick for regular adjustments. I have always loved the atmosphere here, and I knew that it was my calling to serve as many families and kiddos as I could. I am so proud to be part of a team so devoted to those families and kiddos, and I cannot wait for everyone to experience miracles like I did here at Hope Chiropractic through holistic and education-driven care.

I am originally from the Chicago suburbs, but moved to Indiana for college (Boiler Up!!) and moved to the Indianapolis area in 2016 with my husband.
My daughter and I started at Hope as practice members in 2021 after she was born. She was just 5 months old at her first adjustment! I love the family focused care and how much education the team provides about the nervous system. It was an approach I’ve never had in chiropractic care (and believe me, I’ve seen a lot of different chiropractors throughout my life!) and I notice how different my daughter is compared to other kids her age in terms of health, focus/attention, and adaptability.
I’ve worked in several different jobs in many different fields of work since I moved to Indy, but I finally found my home at Hope in 2023. Outside of work, I love aerial arts and performing around Indy. My family keeps me very busy, and I love to travel and explore new places!

I was born and raised in the Indianapolis area, and my childhood was filled with your typical midwestern things: school, sports, family, and friends. It was, by all accounts, a happy and care-free childhood. My story is probably similar to many. As a child and young adult, I was a shy, perfectionist, student-athlete who unknowingly struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember. As time went on, the anxiety only grew and manifested in different ways until I no longer could control it.
It wasn’t until after I had checked out, self-medicated, and gone to the depths of my personal hell that I began to find true healing. Once I started to clean up how I was caring for my body, I realized that I had been living in a constant state of fight-or-flight and that my kids were also stuck in it! We were in the thick of our very own Perfect Storm. I knew nothing about neurologically-based chiropractic care, but I followed a sign and my gut instinct to bring my children to Dr. Nick. Shortly after, I got under care and the rest is history!
Neurologically-based chiropractic care has not only helped me parent from a more balanced, calm state, but it has helped me to continue to pursue the necessary changes that need to happen in my life! I thank God every day for leading me to Hope and the true healing that my kids and I have experienced here. Spreading the word, far and wide, on how incredibly life-giving neurologically-based chiropractic care is has become a true passion!
Outside of work, you will find me with my kids, outside in nature, taking a pilates or yoga class, or trying out different healing modalities. I also love a good walk in the woods or a drive through the country with the windows down!

I was born and raised in Chesterton, Indiana and spent many days on the beaches of Lake Michigan and running all around the dunes! I grew up trying many different sports, but landed on competing in marching band and winter color guard through middle and high school. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ball State (Chirp Chirp!) and I am currently a teacher in Westfield Washington Schools in the Elementary Applied Program!
I started becoming more interested in health and wellbeing when I met my husband, Josh. I enjoy doing many active things such as hiking, weight lifting, cycling classes, and yoga. I have also been exploring nutrition and finding what is best for my body for several years. Despite a more rigid lifestyle, I still found myself exhausted, anxious, and continuously gaining weight. Even with extensive testing, no one could tell me why I felt this way and how to fix it. I came across Hope Chiropractic’s booth at CarmelFest a few years ago and was immediately intrigued as to how this may provide more answers than I knew. Through neurologically based chiropractic care and from Dr. Nick’s educational advice I have been feeling more like myself than I have in YEARS.
Outside of work I enjoy doing many outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, walks, hikes, and tracking birds on my app! I love spending time with Josh and our dog, Lilo. I also love game nights and reading several genres of books!

Growing up in a very small town, chiropractic care wasn't something my family had the knowledge of. I discovered chiropractic care after I graduated college and realized all the issues I had as a teenager could have been avoided with chiropractic care.
In 2021, my husband and I moved from Texas to Indiana. During this move, this Texas girl learned what a true winter was! More importantly, I learned what neuro-based chiropractic care was and it completely changed my life. I realized that not all chiropractors are the same and neuro-based chiropractic care is what heals the body.
After working a year in the office I transitioned into a remote role. Being able to be part of a team that is providing families with hope, answers and help through neurologically based chiropractic care has become my passion! The miracles I hear from practice member's give me so much drive to push the mission and vison of Hope.
When I am not working I'm spending time with my husband Marcos and puppy Marvin. We love concerts, morning coffee walks and you will probably catch us at the movie theater almost every weekend. We are currently waiting the arrival of our baby girl named Ava and are so excited to enter this sweet new season.
Fun Fact- Marvin is under chiropractic care too! Animal chiropractic saved him from having surgery when he was 3 years old and has been under routine care ever since. I know, so cool!

Hi! I'm Kathryn, and I am so grateful to have found Hope Chiropractic. The thoughtful, intentional care my kiddos and I have received at Hope has been life changing!
Neurologically based chiropractic care was an answer to our prayers. My oldest now has relief from sensory sensitivities, my youngest gets sick less and recovers quickly, and I am no longer experiencing autoimmune symptoms. It is truly a dream come true to be a part of this incredible team and now help other families on their journeys of hope and healing!
I grew up in Indy and now live with my husband and two boys in New Palestine. I taught kindergarten and ENL (English as a New Language) for seven years (two of those years at an international school in La Paz, Bolivia) before staying home when my oldest was born in 2018. I homeschool the boys and one of our favorite things is adventuring in nature as much as possible! We adore our 14 year old dog, Belle, who was a therapy dog in her prime (and still is for our family in her retirement). My favorite hobbies are playing tennis, reading, and traveling, even if just a short road trip!
