Dr. Emily Holcomb

Chiropractic care was not always part of my life. I started having debilitating migraines at 8 years old, which of course took the traditional medical model four years to figure out and diagnose what was going on with me. After that diagnosis I went through many neurologists, neurosurgeons, ENT’s and other specialists to try to find a “cure” for the pain I was in. After eight years of failed treatments and medications, my mom took me to a chiropractor as a last ditch effort to get me some relief.

The chiropractor who I went to was phenomenal, and was able to get me some relief after the first adjustment. After about eight weeks of care, 30+ migraine days per month was reduced to less than 15 days. Continued care throughout the years has reduced those migraines to almost nothing!

The complete 180 that I had with my migraines inspired me to pursue being a chiropractor. It was one of the easiest decisions of my life. While in chiropractic school, I discovered my deep love and passion for taking care of pregnant mamas, babies, and kids.

The experiences I have had throughout my time in chiropractic school and in practice have ranged far and wide. I have seen rugby players and other athletes perform at a higher level than they would have without care. I have seen pregnant mama’s with debilitating pubic symphysis pain regain their ability to walk without pain, all while still pregnant! I have cared for people who just want to age healthily, and others who want to be able to pick up their kids and play with them. Most importantly, I have seen the changes that can happen with failure to thrive newborns and in kids and adults with emotional and physical regulation.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me outside gardening or hiking with my dogs Dany and Maggie!
