Finding Rest After 14 Years of Sleepless Nights: Brooke’s Story

For most of her life, restful sleep wasn't even something she believed was possible. Since childhood, she had been waking up 10–15 times every single night, leaving her exhausted every morning. Along with constant fatigue came headaches, TMJ pain, knee and hip pain, low back pain, and upper back tension. As a nurse working long shifts, the lack of quality sleep made every day more difficult.

When she and her husband started care at Hope Chiropractic in October 2025, they were simply looking for a new chiropractor after theirs had moved away. They had no idea that improving the health of her nervous system would begin changing so many areas of her life.

At first, the changes were small—but they were significant. Her first uninterrupted stretch of sleep grew from just a couple of hours to five hours, then eventually six straight hours, something she couldn't remember experiencing in years. As care continued, the number of nightly wake-ups steadily dropped from 10–15 per night to just 3–5 on many nights, and for the first time in years, she began waking up actually feeling rested.

With better sleep came better energy. She noticed she no longer needed nearly as much coffee to make it through her nursing shifts. Her headaches became rare, her low back pain nearly disappeared, and even during stressful seasons at work and with family, she found herself handling life with more resilience than before. While occasional setbacks happened during illness or periods of high stress, each time her body was able to recover more quickly than it had in the past.

Today, she continues to experience better-quality sleep, fewer nighttime wake-ups, more energy throughout the day, significantly fewer headaches, and little to no back pain after long shifts. Even her digestion has begun improving as her nervous system continues to heal.

Her message to anyone wondering if chiropractic care is worth it:

"If you've never tried it, now is the time. If you think there's no hope for you, that isn't true. Chiropractic care can gradually help you feel more like yourself again."

Healing doesn't always happen overnight, but when the nervous system begins functioning the way it was designed to, the changes can impact every part of life—and her story is proof of that.
