I was impressed that Hope understood and knew how to approach Will when we first started coming in. We struggled with Will’s wild behavior, lack of situational awareness, following instruction, and developing language skills. We had been struggling with these challenges since he was about 1 ½ years old. I was stressed and exhausted.
We tried OT, speech therapy, and developmental preschool on top of chiropractic care and all of it was essential to making progress along the way. Chiropractic care was a whole new medical take on helping take Will’s “raging bull” behavior. I didn’t know all the science behind the nervous system and how it can block signals to the brain. It took a good few months for us to settle into the routine, but also to see some improved progress. Will’s speech started to really develop and become more conversational and you could tell he could comprehend more of what was being said. It was a relief.
Since starting chiropractic care we’ve only seen progress. Progress on speech and language. In his comprehension. In his ability to follow instruction. He even mastered potty training! I’m afraid to know what life would be like now without chiropractic care. We’ve been at it for 9 months and if there’s a few week break, we can start to see some erratic behavior set in. It’s just another tool in the tool belt to help him regulate and focus better. We see much improvement at home and less device needs when chiropractic is a part of the mix.
Now, he can communicate what he wants. We have conversations. He asks LOTS of questions. We have more confidence in him going to school now that his language and behavior are dialed in. It’s amazing to see. I can see the benefits of chiropractic care, especially for kids. Don’t be afraid to start them young. I wish I would have started earlier.
Hope has just been an added blessing to our journey. We knew Will needed something else to help reign in his behavior. If it wasn’t for seeing an Instagram post that Hope shared on sensory disorder, I would have kept thinking about checking chiropractic out someday. But we took the leap and honestly, we will never go back to life without it. We will always have a place in our hearts for Dr. Nick and his team.
